On Friday, March 15th, we went to a field trip. First of all, we gather in Kalam Kudus Junior High. We chit-chat with our friends, and reported our name to Mr. Suparta. After that, we entered our bus. A bus with 50 people capacity. First we went to Soekarno Center. At 10 a.m., we arrived there. We strolled the museum. We saw lots of pictures of the late Indonesian 1st President, Mr. Soekarno. We learned a lot of Indonesian history there. But one thing that seemed unfit in my mind, is about Kanjeng Ratu Nyi Roro Kidul, they said she’s the leader, the queen of South Beach, which is Soekarno’s “supernatural” wife. They also said that Mr. Soekarno had been married with Nyi Roro Kidul to get her power. Despite the fact that there were several pictures of Nyi Roro Kidul, I don’t believe the legend at all. After we strolled the first floor, we went up stair, to the second floor. At the corner of the second floor, we saw a separate corner for Nyi Roro Kidul. Basically, they prohibited anyone from taking picture there. But we are brats, so we still took a lot of pictures there.
Then, after visited the Soekarno Center, we continued our journey to Bangli – where a famous Luwak Coffee Garden located. To be honest, I don’t think that the journey will be a bit “off-road”, so I’m surprised when actually we did the off-road to reach the Luwak Garden. When we arrived at the Luwak Garden’s lobby, the owner served us a cup of original Arabica Luwak Coffee. IT DOESN’T TASTE LIKE A COFFEE! BELIEVE ME! It tasted more like Pocari Sweat mash up with Yakult with a bit aroma of rotten coffee -_- Then me and my fellows asked the owner for a cup of tea rather than those “original Luwak coffee”. The owner said that the original Luwak coffee actually didn’t taste like coffee at all. But to make it tastier, they add a bit aroma of Robusta. Yeah, whatever it is, I do think Starbucks and Espresso is the best coffee in the world, tastier than this “original Luwak coffee” -_-
Well, unfortunately, when we were ready to stroll the Luwak Garden to see this Paradoxurus hermaphroditus species, it started to rain. So the Luwaks were hiding in a dry place where rain couldn’t reach them. And at last we only saw a monkey, and a snake. Yeehaaa, went away to see Luwak but at last what you see isn’t Luwak is a bit desperating. But I felt happy at all. I hope my juniors could go to this place someday.
Okay, this is all I can write about my recent field trip. Another time, I’ll see you with another report of better school trip. Au revoir! J
